About Dr. Rochelle Farley

People often are surprised when they learn that I have wanted to become a physician since I was ten years old. I spent the summer of that year with my grandparents in the small town of Grapeland, Texas. My grandfather was quite ill with lymphoma and my memories of that time were of driving him to the nearest large hospital for treatment in Lufkin. I would make that long trek with them and would watch him at the hospital getting care. I became fascinated with the medical personnel that were helping my DaddyPa. When he lost his battle with cancer that September, I can remember feeling an overwhelming desire to help other people through their health journeys. Years later I chose to specialize in Family Medicine so that hopefully I could make a difference in the lives of my patients.

I was born and raised in Houston and did my undergraduate studies at Houston Baptist University with majors in Biology and Chemistry. I then attended University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth for my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. My residency was at Conroe Regional Medical Center through the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. I loved doing my Family Medicine residency there especially because we were the only residents in the hospital, so we were able to get experience in the full range of all medical specialties.

My first year of post-residency was spent in El Paso where I held a faculty position at Texas Tech School of Medicine while my husband, Wayne, was completing his residency there in Obstetrics and Gynecology. When he completed his program, we moved back to Conroe and opened our joint practice which we would have for the next fifteen years.

I absolutely loved my private solo practice and felt such a connection to the community that basically “created” me! I was fortunate enough to care for many multi-generational families as well as serve as Chief of Staff for our hospital.

We moved to Dallas ten years ago when my husband was recruited to start a nationwide OB-GYN hospitalist company. I started working in urgent care at that time and have ever since. Our youngest three children graduated from Highland Park High School and all went to Baylor University (Sic ‘em Bears!). Our eldest of our four lives on Lake Conroe with our two beautiful grandchildren! My family is certainly my greatest blessing in life!

My desire when I see you at Citra Urgent Care is that each patient feels cared for, listened to and gets their medical needs taken care of quickly and compassionately. I love taking care of families and children as well as adolescents.

I am proud to be working at Citra Urgent Care and I look forward to meeting our patients and helping each of you get on the road to recovery!
