COVID

I’m coming in for a COVID-19 visit—what can I expect?

Our experienced team will evaluate and test you for COVID-19. If medically necessary, you may also be tested for common causes of respiratory infections like the flu or RSV.

Does my insurance cover this visit?

Your insurance company will determine your payment responsibility. According to the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, insurance companies are required to cover the cost of COVID-19 testing and treatment, however, you may receive a bill if they decide not to pay. We’ll continue to monitor relevant legislation as it evolves. Click here for a list of all in-network insurance.

Can I still be seen if I don’t have insurance?

Yes. We offer safe urgent care for all.

Without insurance, your visit will cost $279 and include a full medical evaluation, COVID-19 PCR test, and any necessary in-house labs like flu, strep, and/or RSV.

Do I have to wait in the lobby?

No, you don’t. In an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, you can choose to wait in your car instead of our lobby. If that’s what you prefer, please text when you arrive and we’ll check you in.

How fast will I get my PCR results?

Thanks to our in-house lab testing equipment, you’ll get your results the same day, typically within 1-2 hours of your visit.

Your results will be emailed to you and available in your Patient Portal.

Can I walk-in for a COVID-19 test?

Yes. Walk into any clinic without an appointment for a Same-Day PCR or Rapid Antigen Test. Walk-in testing ends at 6:30pm daily.

What’s the PCR COVID-19 test?

Citra utilizes a rapid real-time RT- PCR Test intended for the detection of SARS-CoV-2. Every Citra Urgent Clinic location is equipped with GeneXpert and Accula systems, both of which provide same-day results.

Will my PCR test work for travel?

While our PCR tests are suitable for most travel destinations, local COVID-19 testing requirements vary. With rapidly-changing protocols across airlines and countries around the world, we highly recommend you determine specific testing requirements in advance of traveling.
