Nick Karr, MD, ABEM
Chief Executive Officer
Nick was drawn to the medical field when at 12 his mother was diagnosed with kidney failure. The time he spent with her in the hospital led him to an appreciation for what the patient and their family experiences, and the importance of patient care. After graduating from the University of Michigan, Nick attended medical school at Wayne State University and did his residency in Emergency Medicine at St. Johns Hospital. Once completed, Nick moved to Dallas, Texas and worked in several DFW Emergency Departments. During this time, he observed flaws in teh ER system; patients unnecessarily in the ER, the ER prioritizing financial objectives over patient care, difficulty in accessing healthcare, and poor customer service. These gaps in teh healthcare system led Nick to open Citra Urgent Care. Under his leadership, Citra continues to grow and deliver award-winning patient care in and around DFW.
Ana Flanagan, MD, AAFP
Chief Medical Officer
Ana was born in El Salvador, one of five children. When the time came to decide what she wanted to do for a living, the decision was easy - she always wanted to become a physician. After completing medical school, she started her residency in Family Medicine at the North Shore LIJ residency program in Bayshore, NY. During her residency, Ana met the love of her life and married in 2009. In 2011, she completed her residency and moved to Houston. She joined MD Medical Group and was hired as a Family Medicine Physician at Mi Doctor. By the end of 2014, she was named Chief Medical Officer of MD Medical Group. After 12 years, Ana found an incredible opportunity to be part of the Citra Urgent Care Family as their Chief Medical Officer. Ana currently resides in Dallas with her husband, 2 daughters, Mia and Olivia, and their 5 dogs.
